About Covid-19 Antibody test

This is a quantitative test for the detection of SARS-COV-2 (COVID-19) IGG ANTIBODY.

Positive test indicates exposure to SARS-CoV-2. ICMR does not recommend this test for diagnostic purposes. It is only for Serosurveillance.

Negative test indicates absence of SARS-COV-2 IgG antibodies hence immunity status cannot be established.

Q- Does a Positive result also mean that I may be Infected now?.

If your are positive for antibody and if your are also not having symptoms, it may indicates that you had are encountered it and you manged it well.

However, if you have symptoms related to Covid you must meet your doctor for a need of a PCR test.
